I'm just curious about what the specifics about getting a ticket for driving too slow would be. I live in Philadelphia, PA - USA

Am I able to somehow report other drivers for driving so slow? Lately, I've come across a lot of people that do 8-12mp in 25-35mp zones.

If a minimum speed is not posted, then you cannot drive so slow that you impede the normal flow of traffic.

The law states in N.C. driving at such a speed to impede the normal and reasonable movement of traffic is a traffic violation. The key word here is ( reasonable). One reason for this is a slow moving vehicle on a street or highway with deep valleys can not be seen by on coming traffic traveling at a normal speed causing traffic crashes to the rear. So as long as the vehicle caused no traffic problems or completely stopped in the lane, it would be an officers discretion to write a citation.

Well is there a posted min speed in PA? In CA if you are impeding the flow of traffic on a two lane road, you are going too slow. And generally there is a minimum speed on the interstate.

In the state of Florida, some roadways such as Interstates and Highways have minimum speed limits. Otherwise, if you are traveling at a speed which impedes the normal flow of traffic you are in violation. Thus it is 40 MPH and you are going 30MPH causing traffic to backup and people to constantly go around you. You are impeding traffic and in violation.

In California, there are no minimum speeds on streets, only on the freeway. On the freeway, minimum speed is 45 mph. Other states are probably similar.

In all states, it is legal to drive as slow as you want on a street that isn't a highway or freeway. Bicycles, carriages, horses, etc. are allowed to use the road at their own pace as well.

In Texas, driving too slow in the fast lane can get you dead. It takes forever to get anywhere in Texas because it's so big, so everyone with a long way to go is in a big hurry to get there lol.

So folks doing 55 in the fast lane find themselves with 18 wheelers in the rearview mirror coming up fast doing 85. Like I said, it could get you dead, if you want to drive slow, stay to the right.

Slow enough to impede traffic. Driving more than 10mph under the limit is also an indicator of drunk driving.

You are NEVER allowed to drive so slow as to hinder traffic flow, even if you are in the right lane.

Where I live, some secondary roads are posted
" delay of 5 or more cars illegal".
friend of mine was doing 55 [the limit] when the cop
stopped him for this- not logical, but legal.

the officer who writes you the ticket will determine at what speed you become a hazard to other drivers.
