my dad is terrible.
it is not just sometimes but every day- every minute.
he is a single dad raising 2 girls that play sports
yeah i feel his pain or whatever.
but here is the thing-
i am 15.
for as long as i can remember i have done these:
i clean the whole house without anyone asking
i do all the laundry
i mow lawns and do all yard work
i get basically all my meals on my own
4.0 student, varsity player, get in no trouble at all
i get no respect/ trust at all
i can barely hang out with any of my friends- like 1 time per month- because he says i am gone "every night" even though i just get out that one time every month.
how do i make him realize that i can be trusted?
why wont he ever let my do anything without having a leash around my neck? (not literally)

ps:
he yells at me constantly for random things and i can only deal with it by walking away.
i try to talk things out and all he does is either ground me or take everything away.

You are such a martyr. Seriously, have you ever stopped to make a list of all the things your father does (and has done your whole life) for you? Maybe if you quit moaning and complaing about how hard your life is, and show some appreciation, your father may see some maturity, and loosen the "leash" Meanwhile, you could also learn to appreciate the fact that your father *does* keep a tight hold on you...it shows he cares and he worries. Some kids don't have parents like that.
