Technically, you CANNOT have a "male calico" - as they cannot produce BOTH the orange/ginger AND the black colour at the same time...

Though rare (1 in 3000) - a male born with "Klinefelter's syndrome" (having an extra X chromosome) can have BOTH sets of markings. However, they are almost ALWAYS sterile...

what are you trying to ask? Is it true that male calico cats soon after birth?, do you mean Is it true that male calico cats die soon after birth?
If you are trying to ask that then the answer is no. It is just extremely rare to have a male calico. Yes, it has something to do with chromosomes, but you don't want to hear that, so I won't go into that.

Every 1 out of 3,000 calico's are male.

i'm afraid the answer you want involves X and Y chromosomes. The color for red or black is carried on the same spot of the X chromosome. girls have 2 X's so can have one black gene and one red gene to make a calico (ot tortiouse shell for that matter) boys normally only have one X so can only have red or black as part of their color.
in rare instances you get XXY which would be a male cat that possibly is carrying a red gene and a black gene . this would be VERY rare and could be non-breeding and have gernetic health issues

Male calico cats do not die shortly after birth. They are rare but the only thing that happens is that they are usually sterile

Your question is incomplete, so it may have got cut off. If you are wondering if there are male calico cats, that is extremely rare (as you stated). They would be sterile. If part of what got cut off relates to survival after birth, they would be no more likely to die than any other kitten.

calicos are usually female. I have never heard of or seen a male calico.

I also don't understand what you question is. I am not sure if you were cut off with how long it was so you cut words, but your lack of proper grammer or words as lost the question.

AFAIK, there are no male calico cats. If its rare I never heard of a 1/100,000 chance or anything.
