I recently got a PC installed with Vista. But, it dees not seem to comply with some of the softwares. One of them is like norton anti virus (claimed only for XP/2000),etc. Do I have no choice but to get an anti virus for OS including Vista? I wll appreciate you help

Unless the software is marked as compatible with Vista it won't run.

However older programs have been releasing patches and updates to make them compatible. Go to the manuf website and see if one of these exists.

Yes You really need a vista compatible try the norton 360 its for
XP/Vista Os.

Yes, get avast! antivirus here. http://avast.com/. Vista is usually only compatible with vista antivirus. But most other programs. Like windows xp games will work with vista. Bye.

I believe you can download an update from norton that will make it compatible with vista

download avast or AVG for free they work with vista!
