The passlock security system has been acting up. If you've had this problem what was your solution?

The first thing to do is get the module scanned, PCM and BCM, to see what codes are stored. This gives clues to what is going wrong. Most times this problem occurs if you have had an aftermarket alarm or auto-start system put in. If that is the case, you either have to get the system wired in properly or remove it as the factory system is really sensitive to voltage drops. If no aftermartket stuff, it usually turned out to be a faulty ignition switch. It would have an internal voltage drop in it that caused the security system to think the key wasn't turned. There were also a ton of connection issues. Good luck as these can be tough to solve.
