Yes, Satan (formerly the archangel, Lucifer) is the god(lower-case) of this present age! He is also the Prince of the Power of the Air. However, Satan is neither omniscient nor omnipotent. The best way to defeat him is to daily put on the whole armor of God as outlined in the sixth chapter of the Book of Ephesians. Then you can take comfort, "because the one [God] who is in you is greater than the one [Satan] who is in the world! I John 4;4b(NIV)
It's obvious that some others on this forum, even some of the Christians, sadly, have misunderstood your question! That is why it is so *very* important to differentiate between God (uppercase) and god (lowercase) *and* important to really understand what the Bible says! Satan is *a* god; but he is *not* *the* God!

The Bible calls him a God
(2 Corinthians 4:4) . . .among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.

GOD
Anything that is worshiped can be termed a god, inasmuch as the worshiper attributes to it might greater than his own and venerates it. A person can even let his belly be a god. (Ro 16:18; Php 3:18, 19) The Bible makes mention of many gods (Ps 86:8; 1Co 8:5, 6), but it shows that the gods of the nations are valueless gods.—Ps 96:5; see GODS AND

Satin is God to many because they chose him to be.He has the ability to make you feel so cool about all the wrongs, lie and deceive without a conscience. Our true God's #1 commandment tells us not to put any Gods' before Him.You'll know the difference between the two by what exactly is put on your mind.Remember this "Nothing" good comes from satin and "all" good comes from "God".Pray and study His Word. You'll know the difference.I've also talked to my Christian Sisters and Brothers, asking for their advice when I wasn't sure even with staying in prayer and God's word. That's one of the many reasons that we need one another.*God Bless*

he's not, although he is known to be the adversary of God, he is not to be considered as a God. Go dis tsill mighttier than him. He is justa mere creature wanting to act like god does and wanting to be glorified and praised as a God. He is just the mere opposite of the truth that God is trying to show us.They say that he is one of the angels whom helped God in creating the world and that he is emvy of the great opportunities God experiences tha's why he turn into a wicked angel.

He is said to be the god of this world and the whole world is being deceived. He is also said to be emulating god, or you could call it identity theft. He can look like an angel of light - you know, with halo's and all, very pious looking.
Jesus took seven demons out of Mary M.
Jesus addresses the seven churches in Revelation.
The fiery red dragon has seven heads.
Yes, I can see what you're getting at.

Satan is a fallen angel that the Scriptures call the god of this system of things, the Scriptures also says he keeps acting as an angel of light, so then, it is no wonder that his ministers are acting as ministers of light. This shows that Satan controls false religions including Christendom and why even Christendom has so many pagan traditions.

no Lucifer was an angel so that would mean God created him so no he isn't really a god but that depends on your definition of the term, some people worship him as such and more people believe that there are more than there really are, for the record Wiccans and many satanists don't actually worship or even believe in the devil, satanist doesn't mean devil worshiper
and I'm sorry for all the people who take the question the wrong way and say something rude

Ok..so this could be a stupid question, but I am going to answer. I have friends who are WICCAN, worship satan, and evangelical Christians, ( GRANTED I NEVER PUT THEM IN ONE ROOM AT ONCE) . I have heard each side, I have heard some of them fight together...( why I never put them in the same room). I think that Satan is very seductive...and that is easy for some people to follow who are weak..but at the same time I do not believe my friend who is a follower will go to hell. He had such a rough upbringing...awful...His mother went to prison for coke and the satanists took him in..when no one else would. So..no.. he lives a clean good life...his brainwashing..I overlook.

good question....he does want to be worshipped ....and is
He mixes truth and error...the only way to tell is to have a standard....the Word of God. Matthew 24:24 says that if it were possible (talking about false Christs, and prophets) they would deceive the very elect....which are God's people.

Depends where you look at, Greek/Roman Mythology points that Zeus [God] and Hades [Devil] are brothers and almost Equal in strength but God managed to Banish him to the underworld.
Christianity teaches that he is an Evil Angel, Condemned to there forever, To rule and cause Torture and pain to those who do not believe.
