How many gods that no one can say but if u accepting there is god then proud about which religion you was and do properly as it is. No one religion say do bad things, hurt others and kill or steal like that. Major 4 religions have some concept. In Hindus Lord vishnu - saver, Lord Brahma - Creator and Lord Shiva - destroyer, Like Christians Jesus and His Mother, Muslims - Allah, and Buddhishm - Buddhar. etc., If u belive god created you! then which religion and where you are follow that in proper way. I feel like the Commandment was a matter of consequence. Angels were regular visitors some time ago. Gen 6:1,2. The Lord wanted consistency across the board. Idolatry was very common. Abraham's father sold idols for a living. This in part fostered Abraham's questioning about a mindful designer.

God sounds a wee bit jealous there, doesn't he? AND he admits to the presence of other gods yet gives himself the capital G. Must be either a narcissist or a schoolchild.

Well, if the God of Israel, was speaking of OTHER Gods, it would stand to reason that unless you do not believe in Divinity AT ALL, then there would be many.

I have heard that the Hindu pantheon may contain thousands of Gods so if you combine that pantheon with the various European and other Asian pantheons you many be looking at MANY thousands -- and sorry, by speaking of OTHER Gods, the God of Israel admitted to their existence so you can't logically escape this conclusion and state there is ONLY one.

Either, by the testimony of the God of Abraham, who by the faith of the Abrahamic religions is infallible, there are many Gods, or you deny the existence of any.......

A god can be anything. It's called an idle. anything you would put above God would be a god. If you put God first above everything you should have no wherries.

Only one God, but people have lots of gods. Some worshiped little idols in olden times, figurines that they made that they thought were their gods. Some still worship things in creation, creatures that they consider holy, nature. Some worship money or power or status. Some worship celebrity.

There are lots of gods that people trust before God himself.

one god said that, and the others are peeved. i hear zeus short-changed his sheets for it. thor wanted to give him a wedgie, but freia wouldn't let him. then it turned out he didn't wear underwear... just a flowing robe.

wotan likes it, tho. it's easier to pick up chicks when they're only looking for the one god [you didn't think yao ping came from a mortal father, did you?].

i see cernunos all the time. he likes the park across the street; it has a nice cypress grove.

Mankind has created many gods in his imagination. He hasn't created life, yet. When he does it won't be a god.
