haha, actually my cousin called me that, he tries a lot to get on my nerves. it is kind of pathetic.

The previous answers are correct. "Dummkopf" is a (very childisch and oldfashioned) way of caling someone a dope in German
Try to reply with a nicely put "Dickkopf". Sounds extremely rude said by an English speaker, but only means "stubborn person", so nobody can take offense ;-)
