I like sardines but the last few years all I have been able to get is the large sardines, 3 or 4 to the can. What I would like to find out is, are there any companies that still sell the tiny sardines. Those were the best. Thanks in advance for your time and information.

Look for the ones labeled "bristling sardines" These are the small ones.

I love sardines. Try Walmart for the small cans. I'm sure I've seen them there. A good recipe to use them in is Sardine soup. Smash them with a fork, add 1 Tbsp. margarine, and 1 cup milk. Simmer a few min. then thicken with cornstarch mixed with a little milk. Add salt and pepper to taste. Very good!!!

I love sardines too, and I've found out that the ones from Portugal are the best IMO

they have a brand in the philippines called montanyo that are spicy and small
