Well, I don't think of anything. I have a lot of friends who are Christians and Catholics. We are all humans. The only thing I don't appreciate is almost all of my Christian and Catholic friends devalue my beliefs. They tell me indirectly that I am a pagan since I am from India. They have stereotypes which are so strong that they don't even believe when I try to correct them. They were raised to believe in certain things about India and its religion. I have tried so hard to tell them the truth, but they are so used to lies which were given to them about India and its religion that they don't believe me.
I don't understand. I respect from my heart whatever they believe in. So why do they have hard time with my religion? I belong to a Sikh religion.

Ghost Lizard a true Christian does not pass judgment on anyone. They do however stand up for their beliefs. A Christian is one that loves ! Love the person not the sin/behavior. Christians believe that there is no one with out sin or mistakes, (except for Christ) and if you feel hatred or unfair treatment from someone that claims to know Christ-than my friend they are mistaken. God does not dwell in a heart full of hate.
Many call the courage to stand up to evil intolerance. I called that ignorance.

I am almost always dismayed to find out that the person who is telling me that: this or that country, people, party, is evil and should be destroyed; or, that guns are good and make the world better; or, that our armies are always good and that the people they kill deserve to be killed; or. Gays are bad in the eye of God and deserve to be beaten up; that God loves you, so that's why you have money, etc. etc. - is a God-fearing Christian.
Where did Jesus EVER support ANY of these "Christian" positions?
For me a true Christian is someone who follows the teachings of Jesus as best as he/she can, and stays as far away from Christianity as possible.

The word Christian means to be Christ-like. When people see you they should see Christ. They should be unconditionally loved & respected. I sometimes expect us as Christians to be perfect but the reality of it is, we arent. We are human just like everyone else. We battle the same moods, emotions , temptations as everyone else. We fall! The important thing is we pick ourselves back up and try again. So when you look at a Christian dont look for perfection! And as a Christian dont act like your perfect, and dont talk down to people. Just love them.

In this world, Christian means nothing. Are you a disciple of the Word or not is a better question, because a disciple is a person who disciplines themselves to confrom with the Word and not the other way around.

When someone tells me they are a Christian, I know that they at least claim to be.
But truthfully, many people are lying, being Christian mean looking like Christ, for the name Christian means "little Christ"
I think, "at least they are open to hearing the truth of God." And I proceed to teach them everything I know, unless, I see that they're lives resemble Christ's, then I sit and learn as much as I can!

If you claim to be a Christian it be reflected in your everyday living. I think that it is wonderful when someone tells me that he/she is a Christian. No assumptions made. however, If I am told the same from an undesirable person I would do my job as a Christian and redirect their path. We should not judge because we are all sinners saved by Grace.

Christian to me is Christ-like. When I am in a situation that needs some contemplation, I think What Would Jesus Do. I don't always believe what people say. I believe what people do. Everybody that say they are Christian are not.

When somebody actually tells me that s/he's Christian, I have to admit, my initial gut reaction is "Here we go." But I don't let it prejudice my thinking very much. If you're cool, you're cool, and your religion or lack thereof has little to do with it, except insofar as your childhood conditioning has crippled your common sense and decency.
There happen to be a lot of 'holes in the world, and Christianity happens to be a convenient excuse for many of them.
