How do you know it won't run on Windows XP? Did you try installing it?

Even if it doesn't run the way it is, XP has an option to run things under a "compatibility mode".

If you still have the installation discs, just install it on the XP computer using the proper compatibility mode. The program will be lied to and think it is running in 98.

well... every program that you install in your computer.. bring with their own... dll... and for that many program no are compatible with other operative system... but when you install a new program ... you can go ( I don't know for sure...where is...) but I think... in the same program that you install ... after you install the program... find the file.. go to property... and after find where said... do you want to run this program in what operative system 95/98 etc... that is if the program bring with this option.. or you computer can give you this option....

good luck...

and answering your Q. no you can change the data or converted the data to other operative system... you can upgraded.. .but that mean you need to buy the new version anyway...
