if you recieve horrible care while in the emergency not only from the doctor on call but also from the nurses where there wasnt any so called evaluation or conclusion to the problem yet five days later you recieve better treatment from a reg doctor who takes exrays and orders an mri because he couldnt really explain what was wrong unless the mri is performed. mind you the er doctor just said take these pain pills, no xrays no mri just take these pills and see someone else. do i have any retaliation against the er doctor for lack of treatment or against the nurses who were rude. instead of making things comfortable this visit was total oppisite.

It is typical of an ER to treat your pain and tell you to see your regular doctor, unless you have a life-threatening condition. You could write to the hospital administrator in charge of the emergency room and report your dissatisfaction and refuse to pay your bill. Legal action would be a waste, unless your were actually injured by the doctors and nurses for their treatment or lack of treatment.

Rude nurses or doctors is no cause for a lawsuit. Emergency rooms frequently misdiagnose people, simply because everytime one goes to the emergency room, a doctor can not perform every test that there is.....unless you want to go broke for life after one ER visit. If the treatment you receive proves ineffective, seek a second opinion. If the hospital did some kind of harm to you, where you loose a limb or die, or can prove some kind of neglegence, then you may have reason to seek legal advice.

You have the right to complain to the Director of the hospital. This kind of emegency room treatment should not be allowed.
Write giving date, time, doctor's name and especially the nurses' names. If you do not know their names the date and time will help the director to locate who was on duty at the time. This should definitely be reported. E R are especially serious places and respect is given to all.
As for compensation there was no consequently damage to yourself, just loss of time having to see another physician, Which you did. Who helped you considerably.

You may have a case if you suffered some permenant damage, if not, although no one talks about it there is a "black list" for people who sue doctors for what is deemed by them "no reason". It may be hard to find a doctor to take care of you.
