im 16 years old and im tired of using my sister's credit card and im wondering where i can get a credit card of my own also i dont want a prepaid one because ill probably waste it in one order

i want you guys to know that im not using a credit card for stores im only intrested in a credit card to buy things online and i always make sure i have moeny to buy the item before actually buying it

You have to be 18... unless your parents will make you and "authorized user" on one of their cards... which will give you a card in your name that your parents are financially responsible for.

At 16 you can not sign a contract, or a card agreement, so you cant have a card.

You doubt need a credit card. Get a checking account with a debt card and you're all set. It works like a credit card in stores... expect that money is coming right out of your account. If you're considered about "wasting" a prepaid card in one order, you're not not ready for credit. Not trying to be rude, but once you hurt your credit score it takes a long time to fix it. A good credit score gives you better rates on car insurance loans, etc. I think that is more important in the long run that a card when you're 16. Good luck.

You have to wait untill you're 18. Also, if you think you'll waste a prepaid card in one shot, you'll probably do the same with a regular card.

Don't get in over your head at such a young age.

Usually credit card granters want to document a source of income before granting a card ,
You have a job ? Payout from a trust fund ?
