Okay...why not a compromise. They do make fake nose rings these days. I use to have one that was a hoop. Why don't you buy one of those and try it out. Just because everyone tells you that you would look awesome with one doesn't mean that you will actually like it yourself. I wanted one really bad too. I bought the fake hoop wore it around for a while and realized I didn't want to get my nose pierced any more because it kept getting in the way. Snagged on my shirts, sweaters...etc. I kept wanting to scratch my nose..etc.

Get a fake one first. Try it out. Let your parents see that it is a fake and go from there. It is a good compromise without the pain and the fighting with your parents. If you still want one later on after you are on your own, well then go get one.

I wanna get mine pierced too, but I would wait until I'm old enough to get it legally without their permission, just so I wouldn't have to go through that. It depends on your age. Your parents probably don't want to deal with other people's judgments or opinions on your pierced nose, and especially if you're at a younger age it will affect how people see you. I know it's unfair because it's just a piercing, but that's how people are. Just explain to your parents why you would want a nose piercing. Maybe print out articles about nose piercings to show that you really cared enough to do some research on it. Tell them that you know that there are risks of infection but that you would take proper care of it, because it's something you really want. Good luck! Every parent is different, so what might work for some might not work for others. Get them to explain their side of the story.

Search the internet and find information about the piercing, the aftercare, the procedure and risks, everything you can find. Also, find a nice clean place around your area which does piercings. Come to your parents with this information and talk to them calmly about why and what you want exactly. Doing this shows your responsibility and how much you care about getting the piercing. It still may take awhile and they may not agree in the end but its definitely worth the try. Thats how I got my lip piercing. Just be patient, dont get angry, be persistent but not overly, compromise, make deals and if they say no respect their decision. Who knows, maybe they'll plan to suprise you for christmas?

Also, a good thing to do might be to agree that if you get a's and b's(depending what grades your usually getting) for a quarter or semester or even for the year that you can have that piercing as a reward. You might have to work for this but in all honestly, you should have to.

Look coming from a guys point of view there are very few girls I have ever seen that I think look sexy with a piercing in their nose. I mean many of the girls I know that have one look really good without it. I think they are just silly looking. Now I do like a girls belly button pierced, I think that is sexy in a girl. Piercings in the nose or above the eye or on the lip just look kinda trashy in my opinion. I do not mind a girl with a pierced tongue that is a little cute. Girls that have their nipples pierced are also sexy, but on the face, no I only like the ears pierced.

Listen to and respect your parents. Soon enough you'll be 18 and can make those decisions on your own. The rule at our house was when you turn 18 and can pay for it yourself, you can get whatever pierced that you want. I say leave the issue be, you'll come across as more mature than begging, which never impresses parents.

Tell them a nose piercing is just really small and easy for you to take care of ... and it isn't that rebellious...tell them you could be going out and getting your nipples pierced .. maybe that will scare them into letting you get it done instead lmao.

I have my nose and my bellybutton pierced.:)
