1. Drink plenty of fluids (water will do just good, caffeine will not help as it dehydrates you quickly) before and during your flight to sustain your hydration level. This will also help you manage jet lags better.
2. Take your medications (e.g. travel / motion sickness pills) on time when necessary. Even if you have the slightest headache before the flight, pop in some heachahe pills as soon as possible. Believe me, your headache will certainly get much worser when the plane takes off and lands, possibly to cause more nausea and discomfort.
3. Keep calm. Listen to soothing music and try to take a nap while in the plane (shut eyes will certainly help).
4. Remove your shoes when you are already seated in the plane (but put on your socks if necessary, yeah!). Wear lose clothings while flying to ensure optimum traveling comfort.
5. Enjoy your flight!

I always take a newspaper and lots of my favorite candy and have a good 'ole time pigging out the whole way.
