this situation is not me but someone who works with my mom. this woman told my mom that all they did was send her 19 yr old. son to the hospital to be checked out and then sent him home! I told my my is she kidding? I'm guessing this is what he told his mom. I just wanted to find out what happens to someone who does this kind of stupid act so my mom can inform this parent of what happens when you drink and drive and get caught!

The severity of the accident is (almost) less important than the DUI. The people have asked that the superior court incarcerate an offender for not more than 12 months at a facility approved by the state department of corrections. Also, an offender will pay a fine not to exceed $1000 in addition to applicable fees. That might be a Misdemeanor; the accident, and resisting arrest are other charge(s) disputed through judicial review. The Superior Court may (or might not) stipulate other terms of sentencing. However, the Department of Motor Vehicles has driver license compliance regulations of it's own. The D.M.V. is not a department of the State's judicial branch (or municipalities and tribes): if the dmv says 'no', the we meant 'no.' All of this: is for your protection and enjoyment, as well as, others who would do you no harm. For more information contact your local department of motor vehicles office, or see'em on the web.

You'll be looking at thousands in fines and insurance surcharges. Your license will be revoked until you turn 21 at the very least.

I hope that this is a hypothetical question. I'd hate to think that you're stupid enough to drink and drive.
