The Bible says a lot of things -- it says that the earth is flat and that God accepted the burnt sacrifice of one general's daughter. It says that rabbits chew their cud and that bats are birds and beetles have 4 legs -- all of which are false statements. It adds numbers together and gets the wrong totals. It is, in short, not even good fiction -- its just a collection of bronze and early iron age myths.
Furthermore, Christianity was not built on the Bible -- that is an untruth being perpetrated today. The Bible was not canonized until 397 AD at the Council of Carthage, when they voted on a resolution of the Synod of Hippo in 393 and sent the recommendation on to Rome. The earliest copies of anything resembling the Bible we use now were from the 4th century, we have two of them. Christianity was based on loving one another, Eucharist, and loving God -- that was it. Allowing the books to be canonized was probably the worst decision the Church ever made.
So pray all you want, it isn't that the skies are brass -- it is that you are praying wrongfully with the intention (realized or not) of harming people.
Kind thoughts,
Reyn

Being gay is a sin. Many people get confused on this topic, but here is your evidence.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God?Do not be deceived:Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10- nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
I think everyone might find themselves in these verses! That is why we need Jesus Christ! also look at Romans 7:14-8:8
You don't hate the person you hate the sin. If I'm an adulterous person at heart....Should I say I am an adulterer, and that is the way it is? Or should I ask for forgiveness and ask God to help me by the Spirit of God to resist committing adultery?
If I 'm a drunkard should I accept this and get my drink on? or pray to God for help?
If I am Bi-sexual or gay should I continue to commit sexual immorality and have sex with men and women or should I ask God Through his Holy Spirit to help me not to commit immoral acts?
and so on and so on and so on.

Sin is sin, no matter what color it is. We are born sinners and die sinners. To be gay is not normal, but some people are born with both sexual organs on them, how do we explain that? Sometimes the body has to mature to know what the person is feeling the sex will be. And we have the ones who have normal sex organ parts, and they choose to be gay for what ever reasons. Only God can judge gay people, not us. I will pray for everyone and anyone. We are all human, and make mistakes everyday, and sometimes will be attracted to the same sex, but that is to show us that we are human. Who plays the big role to help us sin, is the enemy. Demons will enter into a body and make you feel something your not, or make you do things you wouldnt do. Then after all said and done, you tell yourself, oh my, I did that, and then reagret it. Who played that big role to help you sin, a demon. When we have sex with our partners whe dont know the demons they have in their bodies, and through sexual contact, legions of demons enter our bodies through intercourse. That is why we must be careful, and not play into fornication, the greatest SIN. So when someone has been raped, guess what them demons come through sexual contact, now your doing things you would have never tough of doing...

It doesn't matter what I think or anyone else. If God says something is a sin it's a sin and always will be. God remains unchanged. Don't ever let anyone tell you God or His word is wrong. Listen to the all knowing God. Not men who are wise in their own eyes but fools in Gods eyes.

YES! It is a sin. That's what the Bible says and I would be the last to contest that. But laying to obvious aside, it takes a little bit more thought to discover the reasoning behind the salvation that God has brought to the world.
What God did was simple, He paid the price for sin, even homosexuality. So the real thing to do for those of us who are Christian is to preach the Gospel. That is the message Jesus wanted us to preach in order for those who are being led to Him by His Spirit that they might hear the truth and be saved.
I am a Bisexual Christian. I know that God's grace is for me, because I wouldn't understand a thing about it if it weren't for His wisdom that He gave me.
And so that's what I am saying to you. Be kind to homosexuals, they have just as much chance at being saved as anyone else, no matter what a part of society thinks of them.
Romans 12
3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.

It's only a 'sin' if you subscribe to the concept of 'sin'.
I do not. As an atheist I know that 'sin' is a religious concept and I don't have to live by such nonsense. I refuse to allow others to determine for me who and what I am or who or what is acceptable. I define what is acceptable to myself. I couldn't care less what any religion says about anything when I decide what's right for me.

Obviously.
"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." 1Cor 6:9,10
"God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator— who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done." Rom 1:24-28
Jude 1:7 "In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire."
Heb 13:4 "Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral."
Furthermore Jesus said concerning marriage "at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’" of which he took as a precedent for marriage

It doesn't say being gay is a sin or love between same sex people it says gay sex is a sin. But that only applys to people who believe in god.
Have you ever talked to this god of yours and he told you it wasa sin to be gay. Most likely no.

Yes, it's a sin, but that doesn't mean God "hates" homosexuals. God hates the sin, but loves the sinner.

The practice of homosexuality is destructive to the human soul. God makes it clear that homosexuality is a sin (Leviticus 18:22; 20:13; Romans 1:26–27; 1 Corinthians 6:9; Jude 1:7; 1 Timothy 1:10; Revelation 21:8). Supporting gay marriage is a sin because it means to support homosexuality and the perversion of Holy Matrimony. If a nation legalizes gay marriage, that nation will be cursed.
Homosexuality is caused by iniquity. Iniquities (tendencies that cause one to sin) pass down the generation line (Numbers 14:18). When one accepts Lord Jesus as their Saviour, God forgives their sins and removes their iniquities (evil tendencies) in the subsequent transformation process which makes one more and more like Christ.
2 Corinthians 3:18
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Hebrews 9:12-14
Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Titus 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
After genuinely accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour, ALL sinners (those who practice homosexuality, alcoholics, liars, drug addicts, fornicators etc.) will be saved and transformed. Each believer is cleansed by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and receives the infilling of the Holy Spirit who renews them.
REDEMPTION BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH
Because mankind is incapable of meeting God’s standard of perfection necessary to abide in God’s presence (Romans 3:19-20,23), God sent His Son Jesus Christ to pay the total debt for the believer’s sins and mercifully credits to his account Christ’s righteousness (Romans 3:21-28,5:1-11; 2 Corinthians 5:18-21). Jesus’ gracious act of atonement was complete and covers all sin (Colossians 2:13-14; 1 John 1:9). Salvation is not based on good deeds but according to the mercy of God (Titus 3:4-5). Believers are justified by faith; it is a gift by God’s grace (Romans 4:3-8; Ephesians 2:8-9). A true, living faith will result in a desire to live a holy, loving life of good works (Ephesians 2:10; Galatians 5:6; James 2:14-26), but failure to be absolutely successful at righteous living does not negate the believer’s justified status.
If you sincerely say this prayer, your sins will be washed away, you will be redeemed to God, be saved from eternal torment and inherit the Kingdom of God:
"Dear Jesus,
I am a sinner.
I repent of my sins.
Please forgive me and save me by your shed blood;
come into my heart.
I want to receive you as my own personal Lord and Savior.
Amen"
