What's wrong with a little blood? Shouldn't it be revered as something powerfully feminine? Shouldn't it be associated with women being the creators, women as goddesses?

Catherine E...Menstruation is achingly beautiful. It's a pity that you don't see it.

Really!!! It's not like it is gushing or anything.

Speaking only for me I used to love sex during my period. The whole vaginal area is so sensitized. Fortunately for me, I had a husband who loved it too.

I don't menstruate anymore and I am somewhat wistful about the memory of making love during my period.

Too much information? You bet.

I've often wondered the same thing. My fiance still does it a little, but he'll buy me feminine hygiene products (what a guy).

I've never understood it. It's a natural process. It's necessary for procreation. People need to get over it already.

I don't know...I'm female, and I think it's pretty yucky. As proud as I am of my femininity, I don't really think of menstrual blood as being anything to glorify, any more than my pee. It's waste product. I don't really think that I need to think my menstrual blood is beautiful.
To each her own, though.

(I actually recently had the Nova-sure procedure, and I haven't had a period since. It's very cool. lol.)

Maybe I'm just still traumitized because I had one for 16 weeks straight once. That's right, non-stop for 16 weeks. (That's what led to the Nova-Sure procedure.) I don't want to ever see another drop of blood again.

D@mn straight! I am on me 2nd day of bloody 'Kali' as I type, and I feel like telling all those wise old atheists that THEY are the irreverent ones! They call EVERYTHING irreverent. Please, do us destroyer-goddesses a favour and remove the USB plug from the back of your neck. It's on the fritz...you keep repeating yourselves. Kali wants new apparel now. Kali likes blood....

Any excretions from the nether regions of the body make people go "yuck", including urine, feces, semen, and menstrual blood.

However, you have a point about menstrual blood as an indicator of feminine power. It's a sign of our ability to give birth, to give life. I don't really go for the goddess thing except that women are God's daughters and his princesses, just as men are God's sons and princes.

It's nothing more than a Male fabricated programme all believers were taught to, and made to, believe.
It's never worried me - then again I'm rather irreverent when it comes to religious or other childish beliefs.

There's nothing wrong with it. It's just a little blood and perfectly natural.

God gave mankind the yuck factor thought of menstruation as part of His advanced disease prevention plan in Leviticus to keep the spread of disease through contact of the exposed blood to a minimum.
