haile selassie I said it best in his speech on racial inequality and international justice:

On the question of racial discrimination, the Addis Ababa Conference taught, to those who will learn, this further lesson: That until the philosophy which holds one race superior and another inferior is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned: That until there are no longer first-class and second class citizens of any nation; That until the color of a man's skin is of no more significance than the color of his eyes; That until the basic human rights are equally guaranteed to all without regard to race; That until that day, the dream of lasting peace and world citizenship and the rule of international morality will remain but a fleeting illusion, to be pursued but never attained; And until the ignoble and unhappy regimes that hold our brothers in Angola, in Mozambique and in South Africa in subhuman bondage have been toppled and destroyed; Until bigotry and prejudice and malicious and inhuman self-interest have been replaced by understanding and tolerance and good-will; Until all Africans stand and speak as free beings, equal in the eyes of all men, as they are in the eyes of Heaven; Until that day, the African continent will not know peace. We Africans will fight, if necessary, and we know that we shall win, as we are confident in the victory of good over evil. – Haile Selassie I

Global war will bring about unity for all people, because our world is so over populated now that only a war that will take out about half a billion people, and that's when you will see peace on earth, but until that happens there will never be unity among people in the world today.

Considering how messed up the world is, why do you think everyone on the same page will make it the right page? Your concept of Global Unity sounds more like fascism than freedom to me, and fascists are always proven to be wrong.

An enlightenment world government; that is a government run by the people that know, scientist. We must forget about this thing they call "democracy" and nationalism. For this to happen we will have to wait for the environmental Armageddon that is coming, the survivors will gladly accept this new kind of government.

One common threat which we all have to take seriously and overcome together if we are to survive.

Like either an invasion of aliens, or global warming, probably either one would do. Unfortunately, no Martian invasions have been reported. But look on the bright side, WE HAVE GLOBAL WARMING TO UNITE US!!!

Let's all recycle and drive hybrids if possible, reuse, recycle, plant a tree, ride a bike, teach you kids, do what you can.

and let's get rid of Bush, and get an eco-friendly person in the White House!!!!!!!

A world government. I truly believe this is the only answer. It would stamp out poverty and wars and one country being richer than another and immigration issues would be gone as well. We could also clamp down on multinational companies such as McDonalds and Nike and other such companies that exploit people for cheap labour to onsell and make a huge profit.

When we make contact with intelligent life on another planet. Then people will begin to realize that we are all people of the Earth and they are , people of the other planet. It will start a new prejudice and eliminate a few old ones.
