http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Kodak/ is a good website to check the reviews and customer feedback on digital cameras.

In general, people like the Kodaks ok.

I don't know if you're a photographer or anything, but I found out that most people don't know this.... 90% of people with digital camera's never end up using the maximum resolution their camera can take. Take the camera you mention, an 8.1 megapixel Kodak... if you actually took an 8.1 megapixel picture, it would be HUGE! Several megabytes for just one picture. The standard memory card that comes with the camera might hold 4 or 5 photo's at full resolution. So what people end up doing is reducing the picture size (which also reduces the megapixel count) so they can fit more pictures on a single memory card and make it easy to email. I have several friends who have 6+ megapixel camera's that they set for 1024 x 768 picture size. This reduces the megapixel resolution to about 2 or 3 megapixel. An 8MP camera doesn't take photo's any better than a 3MP camera at the smaller picture sizes that most people use to email or post. So my point is, if your going to take general pictures to print or email, don't bother with a high megapixel camera. Stick with a 2 or 3 megapixel camera. Those usually run about $100 and under. If you are a professional or need to make large prints of your photo's, then by all means invest in a 8+ megapixel camera. Now, in order to answer your original question, you need to specify which model Kodak you're talking about. You can look hear to see reviews on several camera's:

Hope this helps.
