As was announced today, they do not know his number or his sponsor yet. Negotiations have ended between DEI and HMS for the #8...evil step-***** keeps it. Sponsor will be announced in a few weeks.

Jr's#1

Hello -

We all don't really know what sponsor or number he will have, except it most likely will not be Budweiser OR 8, unfortunately.
So therefore we must speculate. After I read the article on Yahoo! Sports earlier, I realized a good candidate for his number. What about #58 (or 85)? Hendrick's first number, and what should be Jr.'s ONLY number, in "perfect harmony", although it was a little chilling to learn that it was official he was heading to Hendrick.

As for sponsor, I'm assuming it will be Mountain Dew. Although it's only assumption, I'm thinking that Darrell Waltrip was the first to know about Jr.'s heading to Hendrick, since he gave the special interview. And since, he's said "Boy wouldn't it be nice if Jr. got Mountain Dew back?"

And honestly, besides Bud, I wouldn't really pick any better sponsor.

No, he'd be a similar guy. besides, did no longer you study the summer season 2001 Payboy article? merely call him Junior! i do no longer think of of him as Dale because of the fact he's not his dad he's his own guy and an extremely proficient driving force who ought to nonetheless get something out of the crap they gave him at DEI the final 2 years in spite of if no longer a win. each and all the haters merely have no longer something greater useful to do and could be upset he surely is conscious the vehicles and is a experienced driving force in his own good. His basically downfall could each from time to time be Tony Jr yet that replaced into no longer shown returned while he switched team chiefs with waltrip some years in the past.

At this point Hendrich isn't saying. Since Jr. can't bring the No. 8 with him, and his sponsor for next year isn't known at this time.

Hendrich announced today that they were unable to reach an agreement with DEI for the No. 8.

I assume he will drive the #81. It was announced that mountain dew/Pepsi would be his sponsor. Now I might have to stop drinking dew and go to another kind of soda. Dont want to support him to much. I liked it better when Kahne drove the Mountain Dew car, man, that was a beautiful car.

Funny how Junior is having such a hard time lining up a sponsor and all, while the guy he booted out of HMS will slide right into the Interstste Batteries #18 with no glitches. Maybe it's a sign of who the real talent is.
Kyle rocks!

We know for sure its not going to be the number 8, heard some rumors today from my Nascar contacts back in NC that another major announcement of some sort is coming in a couple of weeks.. I'm going to have a ulcer before all this is over...

From what I understand, they don't know any of that yet. Budweiser is apparently not going with Junior because of other contractual obligations Hendrick has that poses a conflict. Isn't there a possibility that he could just take over Kyle Busch's Kellogg's ride? I wonder............

We know the #8 and Budweiser are out,

But I thought I read somewhere that Addias was interested in his sponsorship. Hmmmm, Jr. in all black and white . . . . I don't know about that.
