Let's start at the center of Greenwich Village - Washington Square Park. In the 70s, the park was a haven for hookers. In the 80s, the park started to change along with the neighborhood. The rents went through the roof. Today, the park is frequented by Wall Street power traders who need to wind down on the weekend from all of the daily stress and play cool hippie for the day. The rents in that neighborhood is only going to go up and up.

Its pretty decent. You'll find a ton of things to do. Don't be surprised if you see a lot of gays lol.

When you're in Manhattan everything is "around the block"... you can walk from Greenwich village to the financial district or to the upper east side and you won't notice how far you've walked!

It's a beautiful place; and you'll have a great time; just relax and enjoy it.. go where the trains/buses/your feet/cabs take you.. lol.

It's artsy with lots of young people. There are lots of pubs, and sometimes celebrities drink there. It's a bit of a gay district too so I've heard. It's near Avenue of Americas and 9th St. It's a pretty safe area, and you can easily buy a joint in the park.
