Lots of careers pay good $$$$ IF you have the skill and aptitude to be good at it .
If you live in a state with affordable junior colleges ,
try several different courses until you find what you are good at .
I have seen poor people in high paying professions because they did not have the aptitude and sucked at the job .
Focus on what your skills and interests are and the rest will follow .
FYI - Journeyman electricians , plumbers and other trades people that go through the programs and are qualified make very good $$$$$$$$ .

First you need to think about what you are interested in, because even if you land a job that pays awesome if you hate it you won't be happy. Typical well paid jobs are those of doctors, technicians, lawyers, police officers, engineers, etc. Even if you are unsure of what you are going to do entering college you will be fine, a lot of college students don't know what they will major in. Just give it some time and explore your options, makes sure you have an interest in what you are planing on persuing and then enjoy it and best of luck to ya =D

I was talking with a teacher last year and he posed this question. Do I think that all kids should be encouraged to go to college....
My response..No..not all kids are education geared..most would be better off going to a trade school of what interests them to learn a skill and get a job.
