I was baptized Lutheran. I went through the same damn thing. Notice how the world seems to be against certain people who carry themselves in a "religious manner." Even our very own. Our society has found it hard to live by 10 simple commandments (Example: The 10 commandments REMOVED from the State Lawn.) because they find it too *complicated. Now, personally, If I cannot abide by these simple rules, I am going to do exactly the opposite. Why? Because everybody else around me feels the same way. So it's OK. As a matter of fact, I can just "accept Evolution" as an escape. And as an added bonus, I get frauds like Richard Dawkins to twist and corrupt my thinking on Religion, and the Super Natural (which atheists and evolutionist do not accept.) so that everything around me has no connection toward God whatsoever. That makes me "free." Yes?
The only sound advise I can give you is read. C.S. Lewis was a former Atheist. Read "The Problem Of Pain" And if you can get it, read Mark Cahills "One Heartbeat Away." It's very informative.

How do you not believe in your Lord.
How are you created? How are the heavens and the earth created. Why is it the the earth is so perfected for us to live on. How then do the oceans and seas not overflow the earth. Who send down the rain so we can get an harvest.
The reason why your faith is so depleted is because of the false religions that is out here. When you die you will certainly see you lord. Your good and bad deeds will be weigh on a scale. So nothing goes with you when you die but your good and bad deeds. I invite you to the beautiful religion of islam. Not made up islam from mankind whos deviant but the truth from your creator. One day pick up the Noble Quran and read. I promise you that this is the truth. I promise you.

Firstly, let me give you an eye-opener. Religion has nothing to do with Christianity!!!
Religion is a man- made set of rules and traditions that have very little to do with Jesus.
In fact, Jesus despised religion. There are many denominations because many
people have interpreted the
scriptures to mean different
things...so then they make
a denomination. If this
denomination stays pure and
lives according to the Word,
all is well and good, but here
comes the BUT, there are
always people who want to
set up their own empire and have people worship "them"
instead of the Christ.
It is very easy to stray from
the truth. In order to find a
true church, one must search
diligently. If it's all about rules, sins, traditions,Sunday
potlucks,"we are better than
they", then run from that church. If it's all about acceptance, and love and giving and helping and forgiving. Then it's pretty close to a real church.
To answer your question in particular....You must seek
God. Forget the "religion".
Set yourself apart and really
seek the Lord, He is easy to
find and I know He will meet
with you.

Its not a religion you need. Religion is a form of identification of the church one attends. What you need is a relationship with God but as you stated you don't know if you believe in God. Just because your parents don't go to church does not mean you don't go. You are of an age of accountability so your parents are not responsible for you when you stand before God one day to give Him an account. Everyone will stand before God one day. Belivers of God will answer to Him for the things they did and and not do while on earth. Non-believers will give an answer to God to why they did not believe He existed when God made Himself known to mankind.
My advice to you is to Study Gods Word and get to know who He is. Then after, draw your conclusion if you still believe there is no God. But you will still have to stand before Him one day and give an account to God. P.S. Don't Study to find faults with Gods Word.

What is far more important than religion is whether or not you choose to accept by faith Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. If you do, then you ask Him into your life...the Holy Spirit will indwell you, and the process of becoming more like Him begins. You have peace and hope, regardless of your circumstances, and you want to follow your Lord. If you do not have faith, then you are ruled by yourself or evil, both of which fail to acknowledge the Lord, and destin you for eternity in the lake of fire.
So, the decision about faith in Christ is far more important than what religion you align with to worship Him.

Every religion has a common problem.
The teachings are not available to everyone.
Rational thought tells us this: If a faith is not
available to everyone, then it can't really
apply to anyone.
Creation on the other hand, applies to all.
Hopes, dreams, fears, challenges. And as
the song goes, there has to be a morning
after.
Myself, I worship God's gift - life.

So you're agnostic.
If I were you, since you're agnostic, DON'T STAY THERE. Study as much as you can about every religion you can think of, study science and philosophy, history and archaeology, and pray for God to reveal Himself to you if He exists.
You don't have to tell your family anything unless they ask. And if they do, just tell them that you're searching. There is NOTHING wrong with that!

The question to really ask yourself is,
" Do I WANT to know God?"
If you do, then it means that He wants you. A person cannot want to know God without God wanting them. The desire itself comes from God.
So then ask yourself whether you do or not want to know Him. If not, then good luck with that. If you really do wish that you knew God, then you have to trust Him for your salvation.
I can tell you more, but I want that to sink in first.
