I think that under certain circumstances long distance relationships can work. If the two people have never met in real life, and it is an internet relationship, then I do not believe in it. If the two people were dating and say one moved and will be gone for no really great reason, then there is a posibility of it working. If one person involved is in the military and the other is waiting back home, then I definitly believe in that type of long distance relationship. Althought it doesnt work out for many, some can actually withstand the distance, and as someone said before me, absence does make the heart grow fonder. Hope I helped atleast a little bit...

Yes and dont believe these people that say that they wont work cuz they do work. It takes a lot of work, communtication and trust to make it work so its up to you to make it work, so for these people that say that they dont work thats because they dont put in enough effort to make it work. I am in a long distance relationship and have been for almost 2 years now, and he is 5000 miles away. We talk everyday, either by chat, phone or text and sometimes all 3. We are now engaged and he will be moving here to stay with me in the next couple of months, as soon as he gets things wrapped up there. And depending on the distance between you then you will need to try to see each other as much as possible, and also remember it cant stay long distance forever, one of you will have to move to the other when you both feel that it is time to end the distance and you want to be together.

Hope this helps and good luck

:-))

No Because if you can't go and see that person whenever you want or touch that person whenever you want, then to me it's not really a relationship, it's just 2 people talking, But , if you can handle a long distance relationship then go for it.

Depends on how honest they are with each other and how strong the attraction. Also, the younger you are, the less successful a long-distance relationship is (usually).

Honestly..Nope here is why..after my divorce which neither of us cheated...Two times in a row I have been lied too"stumped" by men because they are harder to track..Unfortunately we would all like to trust but the more I am seeing and hearing, alot of people like long-distance relationships because it is easier to "keep someone on the side" and usually you have no idea in the world until you give your boyfriend and unexpected visit.....$%#%#$SUPRISE&%&% honey then you find out that not only he is surprised but you also....just be very, very careful of long distance relationships...FROM EXPERIENCE..

Long distance relationships are good if you are commited to someone they are very hard work but are well worth it if you are in love. I was in one for two years. Absense really does make the heart grow fonder and when your together you really do appreciate them and their company so much more. They can be wonderful but if you arent serious about them then it wont work.

They may work for a defined period of time - someone is working in Alaska for a year or something like that. But generally, a relationship is with a person, not a phone or computer monitor - so it requires hands-on figuratively and literally! Just my opinion

if a couple has been together for several years prior to living far apart, then i guess it could work. but i think its just too stressful and difficult for most people to sustain a long distance relationship. some can, though.

Distance is an abstract in the matters of the heart! Exchange dialog and plan for the eventual meeting when you are both ready.

Cody not only am I a firm believer in LDR's but I married the woman I met on line. There are many more issues to deal with in LDR's but they are very successful if both partners put 100% into them and are totally honest with each other.
