tylenol/advil/aleve, TONS of water, a red bull, a banana, and crackers
(One of the quickest
ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.)

Contrary to what a few answers are here, caffeine is the absolute worst thing you can take because it's a diuretic and depletes water from your system. The reason you have a hangover in the first place is because your body expelled so much water in such a short period of time since you drank alcohol which is also a diuretic. Aspirin isn't too good either because it's hard on your stomach.
Ways to avoid a hangover would be drinking a lot of water the same night you drank alcohol, eat some cheese to replenish the protein in your system, and don't mix the alcohol too much but since you're not asking that question I won't go into too much detail on this.
Your main question was how to cure a hangover so my answers would be
1. Drink lots of water and/or Gatorade to rehydrate and replenish your body. If your stomach can handle it, I would recommend the Gatorade since the glucose will give you some much needed energy.
2. A banana shake with milk and honey is very good because of the same reason as the Gatorade but it calms the stomach as well. The banana also provides potassium and other vitamins your body needs.
3. Exercise. Take a brisk walk in the morning to get your blood pumping. You may not feel like doing it at the time but you will feel much better much sooner.
Here's a good website I found

Hope this helps.

The best cure is not to drink in the first place, but if you really have to (and I'm sure you do!) the answer is this: Before you go out put a large bottle of water, two painkillers and some mints beside your bed. When you get in try and drink some of the water, failing that when you wake up dry as a bone, with a banging head and mouth like a badgers bum you don't have to get up! Pop the pills, drink some water and take a mint (mints also help stomach ache). Then sleep until tea time. The lazy options are always the best.

If you drink to much you will get a hangover but a good way to cure the hangover is drink whatever you were drinking. That is the best way to cure a hangover.

Cider, it's natural and restoratative. With the reassuring kick of 5.3 percent alcohol to get those digestive juices flowing again. Repeat 6-7 times per day. If symptoms persist repeat on day two. Further treatment should be used with some caution. Good luck and Happy Hangover!

Ok, so by now the liver is overworked trying to break down the alcohol so DON'T take any paracetamol products as paracetamol is broken down by the liver also. This too goes for coffee as caffine is also dealt with by the liver.
What you need to do is replensih you lost fluids and blood sugar levels first, then deal with any headaches later.
Best thing for sugar levels is Glucose based drinks or hydro-replenishing drinks like sports drinks.. Di-oralyte (a powdered drink usually used for liquid replenishment during diahorrea) is also very useful, or a British drink called 'Lucozade'. Both will raise blood sugar levels and slightly replace lost fluids.
Now you also need to drink some normal stuff like pure orange juice or water. Orange juice is good as it contains vitamin C which is lost by the alcohol consumption (So a multivitamin plus a good dose of 1000mg of Vitamin C is a body bonus)
You also need to eat to re-line the stomach. As said earlier, a banana is good as it contains potassium and vitamins, and so is any easily digested grub like fruit.
Pasta is good as it gives the starchy intake and is easily digested.
Now, if you still have a headach, take a low dose of either aspirin or ibruprofen. Both bad for staomach but good for liver. And you liver is still dealing with the alcohol toxins so don't overload it.
Next, go back to bed, have a kip, get up, eat a little, more fluids, and then a good walk or run to envigorate the senses.
Then it's back to the next pub session and ready for another night on the razz :)

My personal favourite for the morning after the attack of the beer monster is to go to the greasy spoon café or burger van, order a double fried egg roll, lashings of brown sauce and a can of Irn-Bru.
It either cures me or kills me

Try coca-cola with some lemon juice squeezed into it. Just a touch of lemon juice. Another great thing is getting those Chaser Pills from a local store such as a gas station. Take those just like they tell you to, and everytime I used them it worked, and the coca-cola drink. Hope it works!!!!
