I am doing a huge research topic on this subject and it would be great if anyone out there would share their experience and maybe answer a few questions in a future.

Me and my friends were into "roof jumping" and all that when we were younger. Also, we used to skate, and I nearly had my head knocked off by a truck when I fell down a 4 stair and into the road.

I was 16, just got my license and driving on a two lane road in my Dad's pickup truck with my mother in the seat next to me...I was just pulling into the left lane to pass a slow car, and suddenly a car pulled into the roadway out of driveway to my left...from behind a hedge...all I could do was try to go to the left of the car from the driveway, which would put me in a ditch or into a telephone pole, or hit the car i was passing, .....I thought we were dead.
I popped out of my body and saw the whole thing from above for about 3 seconds... I saw a safe path over a culvert into a field and directed the truck there . I could not have seen that culvert from the truck.
My mother grabbed my shoulder and I popped back into my body.
Since then, I have known that I am a spirit (or soul, if you prefer) inhabiting this body...and I'm not a whacko or anything...I swear this is true...as sure as I'm sitting here.

I got snatched buy 3 guys at 3a.m. and they were gonna shoot me and dump my body by a levee. then they changed their minds and threw me out of the car on the side of the road. I was 20yrs old I think...it's crazy when I tell people the story I still get choked up when I describe all the things that went through my mind when they pulled out the gun and were talking about where would be a good place to dump my body. All I could think about was my parents getting a call saying they found their daughter shot dead laying in a ditch by the levee. I just kept seeing my mom crying. Geeze! I'm gonna start tearin up right now! that was some scary sh*t! Is that what you wanted as far as "near death"?

When I was about 6 years old, I nearly drowned and was saved by my father before anything too serious happened. I remember being taken to the hospital, but I was okay. Just a bit shaken.
I do remember it as it was happening, though. And it felt more like a dream than a near-death experience at the time.

I had a near death experience as a child. I could see the doctors around me. I don't think I was supposed to die. I lived in Michael Reese Hospital, Chicago for a few months of my life. I had rheumatic fever. I see death as just a transition and I am not afraid to die. I believe it is from that experience. I think I was around 7 or 8 years old. This was in the 50s.

Not me, but my aunt. She 'died' and went to hell briefly before being resuscitated. We visited soon afterward, and she described the event very clearly. But then a few months later, she had no memory of the event at all. And she went back to her old habits. She died again, for real this time, and I can't help feeling bad for her. Even a visit to Hell will not change the mind of an unregenerate person. Their search for 'proof' is no more than an excuse to continue in their ways.

Several. Time really slows down. It's true that "your life flashes before your eyes." You do an incredible amount of thinking in a split second. And after it's over -- you laugh!
Then the trembling is a little while later.

Yes.
I passed out, I stopped breathing & my lips turned white.
Someone had to resuscitate me.
Nothing happened, in between my passing out and coming to.
Absolutely nothing happens, no white light or anything at all.

You move faster and your mind is sharper. You know when you nearly fall down some stairs. just like that. you can do things you never thought possible.
