The Picture sill looks great in HD but when I watch a SD show the black lines on the left & right and not even. I hooked it up via compont cables and it centered itself but the quality went down from the HDMI/DVI. Is it the cable I'm using? There is NO adjustment on the Dish Netwok reciever. When I watch a HD show I it does fill up the screen but you can tell the picture is too big for the screen so the edge of the picture is really
1.5" outside the screen and can not been seen. Any ideas?

Thank you!!

A DVI-to-HDMI cable should work just fine.

The Dish receiver REMOTE does have a little obscure button (bottom row, left) called format. Use it to adjust the aspect ratio of your screen (Normal, strech, zoom, etc.). You can use the format button to strech a SD program to fit your screen.

Make sure you set Dish to output in either 720p or 1080i (whatever looks best)
