I had an allergy doctor tell me not to use Q-tips in my ears. He said to use ear wash. Q-tips can push the ear wax down further against the ear drum which is bad. I tried the ear wash, but it didn't work well for me.

I clean my ears out several times a day with Q-tips - why? Because it feels good - my ears itch inside from allergies.

They say no, but I do and have for years. Just got done showering actually. And I used a cotton swab! I can't stand it if I don't use one! Just be careful not to push too hard.

It is potentially dangerous because your eardrum is very very delicate and it doesnt take much to accidently bump it and possibly hurt it. Never put too much force towards you eardrum and press the swab to the walls of your ear.

No! You can cause ear wax to be pushed further into your ear canal and eventually form a ring that would touch the ear drum and affect your hearing.

technically no but if you dont go into the ear canal you will be fine.

I also use either hydrogen peroxide and or rubbing alcohol to clean it. I use a capfull and tilt my head and let it sit 30 seconds.

not really=reason=you can push the wax further into your ear and then have to see a specialist to take all the impacted wax out= your best bet is to see the family Dr and have them flushed out

Technically No. Haven't you ever heard they saying, never stick anything in your ear smaller than your elbow? This is because you can easily break your ear drum.

you should not introduce any object to your ears, it is very dangerous, you can easily perforate your eardrum, in addition to others problems.

you should clean only outside of you ears, never inside.
