When you pick pecans do you have to let them sit for so long to harden? Whats the process?

No don't leave em to sit for any length of time they'll soon have everything in your kitchen packed into their big bills...toaster refrigerator stove etc...oops soz thought you said pelicans!!

If they fall from the tree or can be shaken out they are ready to eat. They are easier to shell if the husk has dried and split.
