What is the very least you expect from people when you call?
How many people are willing to listen or talk to you?
How many people have you brought into your church with your calling?
How often do people become enraged and angry with you?
Most importantly to me, how would you recommend that I should word a note by my door to politely say that I am not interested? I already have a note beside my doorbell which reads "Attention Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormon Missionaries - Please Do Not Disturb". Is this too discourteous? Everytime I have quoted it here on this site, I've recieved numerous thumbs down for it. Would you recommend something different or no note at all? I know that any converstion with you regarding religion would turn very unpleasant and I simply want to avoid the distress for all of us.

In order to see what the greatest number of Jehovah's Witnesses think, I'll put the question to a vote. Hopefully other persons will not vote.

Jehovah's Witnesses do not record such detailed statistics, but in most areas they find that most householders tend to be civil and polite.
The smallest goal of the Witness is that householders (and/or his neighbors) recognize that his purpose is godly, and connected with Jehovah (by name). In practice, a Witness hopes to read a Scripture and point to God and Christ as the best source for solutions. At that point, a Witness minister is generally pleased to move on if the householder remains uninterested.
When a Jehovah's Witness sees a "No JWs" sign, he may actually feel MORE compelled to reach the householder personally to determine if the sign actually represents the householder's wishes. Yes, such a sign does seem discourteous.
If the questioner does not wish to speak with some visitor (such as Jehovah's Witnesses), it seems rather straightforward what to do:
1. Open the door
2. Smile (optional)
3. Ask "Jehovah's Witness?"
4. Receive affirmation
5. Say, "Thank you, but I'm not interested"
6. Gently close the door (slamming is rude, but your prerogative)
Please recognize that Jehovah's Witnesses are not primarily interested in converts, but in working to obey Jesus' command to preach (Matt 24:14; Matt 28:19,20).

regrettably the church homes do no longer educate the dominion of God so as that they do no longer be attentive to the solid information. They educate the lie of Heaven or Hellfire by way of fact the advantages after death. needless to say they do no longer study, no longer to point study their Bible. the only man or woman I had at my door became lost. She did no longer be attentive to why she became there different than to inquire from me to her church. How real the words of Jesus at Matthew 9:36. On seeing the crowds he felt pity for them, by way of fact they have been skinned and thrown approximately like sheep and not utilising a shepherd. Porcelain Vessel is likewise maximum suitable, they have not got Jehovah's Holy Spirit to steer and direct them.

hardly anyone says "go away"
a handful of people have let ME in
not too many, though
most people listen and they take the magazine or if they say theyre busy i just tell em to read their bible
hardly anyone has gotten mad, matter of fact i dont recall anyone getting mad.
do JW's and mormons keep coming to your door??
maybe you should post the sign in a more visible place
or put a "No Tresspassing" thingus
yeah, that would work
or like someone mentioned, a simple, "No Thanks" will suffice

I'm sorry I cannot answer all your questions as it would be considered unethical.
We are commanded by God to do the work in the fashion Jesus showed us while he walked our ways.
It was his pleasure to show his associates the correct and proper way to spread the Kingdom message. God's will is far more important to us, than man's.
However there is a provision to keep us away from your door for 1 year.
Interested? Call the Kingdom Hall nearest you, give them your name and address and ask them to put you on their list of not interested.
You must do this annually as they up-date each year.

well as a young one i would say that it is very discouraging and sad the way people treat us, we are just people sharing our beliefs with you, you wouldnt believe the stuff people do ! ive had someone cuss me out, move their sprinklers by our car, and other stuff too, but not everyone listens and i guess its TOO MUCH to handle just to say no thank you ...so anyway yes that is fine that you put that on your door, then when the witnesses see it they will mark your house as a "do not call" and they wont come to your door ok ? =]

Make sure you put the sign to where they can see it clearly. Perhaps on your front door.
I expect people to say "No Thanks" but which I have gotten a lot of.
Some people are willing to listen, but most are usually not at home. You do get people say they aren't interested from time to time.
Millions people was brought in with our message.
People do get angry but not a lot (based on my area)
