Dinah went to see the girls in the neighborhood. She was raped and kidnapped. Her brothers went over their fathers head and killed the men of the town. Jacob blames her brothers, the brothers blame the rapist, and they take all the women (yes, the women who Dinah went to see) with them when they leave. But, God never blames Dinah. JWs blame Dinah for the death and all the badness of the situation. I thought we had stopped blaming the victim...like God did.

JW's don't blame Dinah for the deaths! Where did you hear this??

We use this as an example of why its so important to choose your associates wisely, because that was the reason that Dinah got herself into trouble, nothing more.

Dinah became enamored with the world, and made herself vulnerable. While there was no formal sin in her actions, she created an untenable situation.

Genesis 34:1 states, "Dinah ...went out."
"Out" from the protection of family and God. She entered the world of Shecem, whose morals were not up to God's standards.

Yet she is innocent due to her naivety.
Our hearts all go out to innocent victims, but one can only claim "naive" once.

My brothers and sisters have replied properly. I in simple terms have the desire to make an fact. The Asker needs be responsive to why we pass by using basic education in Bible know-how in the past getting baptized, yet how oftentimes can we pay attention or study human beings pointing out that people who grow to be Jehovah's Witnesses don't be responsive to what they're moving into until it relatively is in simple terms too previous due. sounds like the two way we do they could say we are incorrect. additionally, to the single that made the remark approximately understanding vs taking in know-how: 2 factors - a million. how are you able back to be responsive to somebody without taking in know-how approximately them? the only way we are able to style a private relationship with Jehovah or Jesus is be responsive to their likes and dislikes, what they approve or disapprove of, what they want us to do, etc. All it is interior the Bible, so we could desire to benefit that. 2. perhaps you may verify stable's Concordance for the information "be responsive to." One meaning is "to benefit to be responsive to."

there is clearly no blame or punishment on dinah in the genesis account, neither is there any blame or punishment on tamar when she gets raped by amnon.

The point of the story is not to say who's fault it was but to simply highlight what it says in Proverbs 13:20 - "He that is walking with wise persons will become wise, but he that is having dealings with the stupid ones will fare badly"
