teen funky room help please?

hi guys i am getting m y room done over i want to paint my walls but i want it to be colors that can brighten up the room but i want my room to be funky so you guys give me pictures of your room or advice on what color to paint my walls please and what type of fabrics i should use in the room thanks ...what are funky colors and how should i do this room please pleasepleaseplease help

My cousin has pink walls with black paint spots all over it. I like white blue and red polka dots on white walls. like big polka dots.

Hey Ashley, I know just what will work out for you. There are many new Faux painting tricks that will make your room as bright as you want it to be. There is a great book called 1000 paint effects for the home decorator. It has all kinds of color swatches and different paint effect in pictures in the book. It also tells you how to do it and has tips for making things easy. I did one wall in my living room and one in my master bedroom with information from this book and everyone has great positive comments when they see it. The book is by Ray Bradshaw and you can get it from the library for free. Your friends will freak. It is very funky and way ahead of most other people. and its really easy to do. My master bedroom wall took less than 2 hours.
First I painted it bright Chinese red and let it dry. then I got three plastic sheets that fit floor to ceiling. I painted bright orange over the red and immediately hand patted the plastic sheets to the wall. As soon as I had one section painted and the plastic in place I went on to paint the second section. Then as soon as the other section is painted, you just rip off the first piece of plastic. it leaves a great pattern with the wrinkles of the plastic and the red peeking through. You do that with each of the three panels and it comes out really funky and great looking. Almost like a snakes scales. I love it. have fun and good luck.;

Well i had my room with 2 orange (tigger orange) and 2 white walls with blue accessories and it was really cool. If you want funky i would add some shagg as a fabric. Maybe a pattern on one wall like retro geometric stencils.... The paint is one think but its the details that make a room funky!

I think oranges, reds, and bold blues look good, and put together they can definitly look funky. Mixing in some white sometimes doesn't hurt either, just to even it out.

you need to make it like a land of stars like paint it yellow and down below orange and hang some stars on your cieling it will look very bright !!! and funky!!! =)

HAVE 2 WALLS PAINTED ORANGE AND THE OTHER 2 PURPLE... THEN HAVE A BRIGHT COLOURED BLANKET AND DIFFERENT COLOURED CUSHIONS.. YOU CAN ALSO MAKE YOUR OWN PRINTS TO HANG ON THE WALLS.... A COLLAGE OF ALL YOUR FRIEND AND FAMILY WOULD BE GOOD TOO!
