Growing up Catholic (but having since stopped) it might be helpful if churches sold inexpensive cups of plain black coffee (and decaf and tea) before mass. The people might be more attentive, and the money raised would go toward good things.
However, any attempts I've seen at "gospel" stuff has been ludicrously awkward and laugh-out-loud funny. One parish my wife and I used to go to had kids spinning around and clapping their hands---it just didn't fit into the solemness of the Catholic mass, which is SUPPOSED to be solemn and tranquil. A true believer doesn't need or want a Jerry Springer sideshow.
The only other tried-and-true alternative would be the pre-Vatican II Latin mass. Do honestly want that? I hope not, unless you are fluent in Latin!

Because the Catholic Church is THE original church of Jesus Christ. I love the quiet atmosphere and prefer to save the theatrics for, well, the theatre! My parents' Assembly of God church makes a bigger deal out of their new sound system than anything else! They figure that the more passionate the music, the better the service went. Not true....people are looking for more SUBSTANCE (depth) in their services. It's not just about loud singing, sound systems, hand-clapping, tambourine playing. The terms "reverence" and "quiet dignity" are never heard in "Gospel" churches. Because of Jesus' True Presence in the Holy Eucharist, we don't need any external hype added to our service. We do not have to cry out for his presence to come.....we believe it to be truly there already -- in His Word, Sacrament and in the people.
Another part of the issue with so-called "Gospel" churches is the lack of the Gospel in the services. Pastors can stick to their pat, convenient passages. Catholics, Lutherans, Episcopalians and others use a 3-year cycle of readings thus allowing more of Scripture to be covered. Throughout the year they follow the entire life of Jesus.

I am a Catholic, and love the way that the Catholic Church encourages quiet reverence and tasteful behavior within the sanctuary. I don't go to church to see a carnival sideshow. The reverence and solemnity of the Catholic Church puts me in the frame of mind for worship. It encourages a sense of sacred space, rather than just coming off like some kind of social gathering.

I think if you're in a church that truly preaches and teaches the Bible, then you're feel like you're alive so to speak. I went to a Nazarene church and never felt like I got the message, and then started going to an Independent, Fundamental Baptist and was surprised at how much I've grown in the Lord in the past 2 yrs. A true Biblical church will teach all the Bible, not just the PC parts

I don't know what you are talking about.
I'm a Catholic and I find my Church to be the ORIGINAL Gospel Church. Also Mass is very exciting and full of life. I love it, and it never bores me (unlike Protestant services that would bore me sometimes).
The Most Holy Eucharist, Christ Himself, is Life and Passion!

Did Moses comprise Isaiah's prophecies in his writings? Did Isaiah's comprise Matthews wittings in his? The Bible replaced into written over 4000 years. of course a concept of the Lords gospel is ongoing and non-end revelation. If it wasn't, he could have had Moses write each and everything that had to be written and phone it reliable. between the clearest teachings interior the Bible is that we could desire to continuously obey the words of the prophet that speaks to us without postpone. lots of the failings you point out at the instant are not got here across interior the Bible. that's particularly between the 13 articles of religion: 9 We have self belief all that God has revealed, all that He does now exhibit, and we've self belief that he will yet exhibit many super and considerable issues concerning the dominion of God. So, basically because of the fact the failings that Christ taught are not got here across interior the Torah, does not advise that they are invalidated and not area of the Lord's Gospel. that's an identical Gospel that our Lord and our Saviour Jesus Christ taught whilst he replaced into on earth. ultimately, each and every denomination of Christianity teaches distinctive and conflicting issues. they at the instant are not each and each of an identical Gospel. So, WHICH branch of Christianity, in accordance to you, is an identical Gospel that replaced into preached by Christ? in spite of each and everything, there can purely be one.

If Christ is the focus and the people in the congregation are actively building relationships with Him there will be life in the church; however, if that is not the case, it is time to find one where they do.
John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

I feel the same way. I have been to a Pentecostal church a few times, and have not been allowed to go since. This initially made me upset.
