If you survived, it wouldn't be lethal.

There is no antidote to the excess potassium that they use to stop your heart.

That's right..Surviving means the lethal blood level of the drug has not been reached. In such case, it is not to be called lethal injection.

Lethal injections when given (and had achieved the blood level as lethal) would instantly make the heart stop beating or would have your respiratory center depressed and you will stop breathing. It would take just a matter of less than 10 minutes to make the damages irreversible.

If you are talking about lethal injection for death punishment, the dose surely will be increased if the amount initially administered did not achieve its purpose. Death is the main aim.

Presuming, you are curious to know of what happens if someone had lethal dose (but insufficient to be lethal) in other situation (not as punishment), it definitely will result to deleterious effects on the entire system. The respiratory functions could have been depressed and may result to severe consequences such as brain damage. In case the drug effect is on the heart, extensive management will be done to eliminate the levels of potassium which is not an easy task.

If ever, reviving a person would become successful, chances are he would live not totally functional but could have permanent damages such as paralysis and many others.

Well.........

A) I agree IF you do survive it's not lethal. B) there is NO antidote for potassium (the lethal drug) C) If you happen to not die from it (which is odd but i guess it could happen) they would inject you again until the heart stopped.

They would just keep injecting more until you died. And there is no way you would be able to give yourself an antidote while strapped down to the bed they put people on.

Judicial orders in all countries are similar.
Some are hanged to death, others beheaded to death, some others are shot to death and some drugged to death.
