I lived in Phoenix Arizona for years..
Plant trees and grass around your house... Have as little cement, gravel, asphalt as possible.. Buy a pool.. Keep the air moving with a/c and fans.. Learn to be an exibitionist and strip down.. Drink a lot of water.. Stay inside in the cool between 11 am and 4-5 pm as much as possible.. Look into getting Frozen Bandanas if you can keep your neck and head cooler you feel cooler all over...
Remember when it's 65 in winter where you are I am buried in 3-7 feet of snow.. That simple thought seems to make my mother who still lives in Phoenix feel a lot better...

I rent a trailor while attending college. We put in our 4th air conditioner last week. When it was 93 outside it was 90 inside. But no more.
