My wife and I took in a homeless person from a local homeless shelter. He stayed with us about 6 months until he found 2 jobs. He went on to get married and bought a house.

I have several opinions about homeless people. There are those I have found that want help and will take it and try to better themselves. There are those who just want to take...because they are given to. and that's the way they want to do it. They will be for ever happy being given what they need. Then I have found the ones who are perfectly happy living on the streets fending for themselves and they don't want to be bothered by anyone and they don't want anything fron anyone. They want to be left alone. ..I have helped homeless and have been turned down by some...I would not turn Jesus away..goodness no.

i attempt to handle it as followers of Christ have been instant. If absolutely everyone, (notwithstanding if or no longer they are Christians,) includes me in a spirit of kindness and factors out a shortcoming of mine, i might desire to be injury momentarily, yet I continually attempt to supply reliable tips careful attention. I certainly have gained sensible tips from Christians, and from people who're no longer Christian, yet look greater nicely versed interior the bible than most of the Christians. purely a fool could scorn reliable sound suggestion, notwithstanding the source. greater suitable a slap from a real chum, than a kiss from person who slanders others. Edit: How unhappy that any one could turn this right into a game of semantics and yet stay away from certainly answering the question while this is obvious what's being asked. i do no longer shy from an admonishnent, or a reprimand from someone of know-how, yet i'm careful to stay away from slandering others... which may well be certainly one of a number of stuff that could rightly bring about a reprimand.

I am very empathetic toward the Homeless. I forever will have the desire to help them find a secure place to lay. A place that they can call home once again. Something of their own. Everyone needs to have a place they can call home and of their own.
I also am aware of security. If it is a stranger, I will direct them to a shelter where they can stay for the night, etc... and gain valuable resources to help find a home of their own.
It it is someone I know, then they are welcome to my home, and I will help them too gain valuable resources to find a home of their own.

I think the poor and homeless are far overlooked today, because of all the other violence and greed. I would hope that I would always help someone in need.

This Day and Time I would be Very Careful of who I let Stay in my House.
Unless you Know that you Know that you Know that GOD said it was O.K., then, I WOULD be Very CareFul.
And if you have to Ask, how do you Know that you Know that you Know---I wouldn't do it Till You Follow Jesus Some More and LEARN a Whole Lot More.

Well, given the way I've been treated by humanity over the years, I don't even answer the door unless I know who it is, and I'm expecting them. So, yeah, I'm afraid they won't be getting anything from me.
