I used to be annoyed by religious people pushing me to follow their ideas but now I have to deal with atheist pushing their ideas on me, I wonder who's next. I just do my own thing in life and like peoples opinions but don't like being invited to contribute to them.

That has to be the worst attempt at a euphamism I ever heard.

If you identify as a "follower of Christ" then by definition you are a Christian! Case closed.

I call myself a Child of GOD.
I have been Saved, Born-Again.

Now, if I get All of my Ducks in a Row (Pray alot, Fast alot, Read the Word alot) and Start Walking in Holiness---THEN I will Call MySelf a "Christian".

Christian means "Christ-Like"--- to EveryBody Else in the World and GOD too!

Remember that Jesus told us the parable about the tares in the wheat. There are folks who call themselves Christian, might even call themselves followers of Christ, might even think they are Christian, who are not. Christ's disciples do his will and keep his commandments. Then there are those who do not. There is still time for them to realize their mistake and repent, as long as they live, but some will never repent. That's the tragedy of life.

As followers of Christ, it is our DUTY to tell others about His saving Grace.

As athiests, it's their nature to think we're cramming something down their throats that they don't want. When they accuse us of threatening them with hell, they don't realize that it isn't a threat, it's a certainty that if they die unrepentant, they WILL go to hell. To NOT tell them would be unloving and disobedient.

Ma'am, I take everyone as an individual. I give answers based on education and experience. If more people answered like that instead of with anger, threats, vulgarity, etc, we might get along better. Unfortunately, not everyone is like that. Thank you for having a mind of your own and being able to see other people's views.

You are now on the right path. That is my thought.

I have known many who have disassociated themselves with Christianity for the shameful things many Christians have posted here. This is technically what you have done. I admire you for your decision, as I can now know you as being different.

A follower of Christ does not spew hate and intolerance, and I, as an Atheist, recognise this.

May peace and love go with you throughout your life.

I shall call myself a non-believer, oh it means the same thing.

You yourself judge people saying these people aren't Christians. Not sure if you ever read your holy book but it clearly states that you cannot do that.

Call yourself an Liberal or open minded Christian and people will react better.

I agree with you. All followers of our Lord Jesus Christ (As proclaimed in the Bible) are true Christians. However, there are a lot of Christians out there who truly do not understand what it is to be a Christian. We are to sow seeds of love and forgiveness. Not reap seeds of hostility and hatred. We are to love our enemies, not condemn them. When we condem our enemies, we are taking God out of the equation. The Bible teaches us,"Do not judge others...unless you want to be judged likewise. For every measure that we make, it will be measured back to us. Whatever we sow...in the same way, we will reap.

Jesus taught us to be lovers of men, not haters. He always taught forgiveness and love. He ALLOWED mankind to kill him to fulfill the prophesies made to confirm who he was. He is God. His Word will endure forever.

I will end with two things:

1. Jesus said, "Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you".

2. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength, and love your neighbor as much as you love yourself.

If you really ponder the two items above, you will have the strength when your faith is being challenged or how to deal with those who do not know Jesus as their own Saviour. Those who are in darkness don't know anything but the darkness. Those who are in the light realize that they were delivered from the darkness and therefore are forever grateful to Jesus who is the Light.

God Bless.
