I'm heading off to college soon and I want to remain abstinent. I don't want to be made fun of by people saying I'm pathetic or something. I want people to respect my decision, but I don't know if that's going to happen. What can I do to avoid people asking me to have sex? I live in tight living conditions and there are always people paryting. I go to UMASS. What can I say and not look stupid? Just "no, thanks?"

well i'm in college and i'm a virgin. But i think since i'm a girl, its not much of a big deal because i've noticed a lot of ppl actually respect my decision. But if you really want to remain abstinent, just dont put urself in a situation where youre tempted. You can pick the girls you date better so that they're not just in it for sex and you can try to stay away from getting drunk at parties. Do people really ask you to have sex?? lol, well you can just say no. Or you can say you have a gf back home so that no one even tries to ask you for sex. I'm sure it wont be that hard. Its really not hard at all for me and i'm around a lot of ppl who drink and party all the time

Be confident in yourself and your decision. Anyone that is going to put you down for following your beliefs is not worth your time. Most people are mature enough by the time they get to college to respect you and your decision. Good luck, stay strong to your beliefs!!

I doubt some stranger is just going to walk up to you and ask for sex.
just stay out of the situations where sex may happen, like party's.
don't drink or do drugs (so you inhibitions are not lowered)and if someone dose just say your not interested in them.

Don't go to drunk or parties that are sexual. Be yourself no matter what, I sort of think like that. Don't fall for stupid crap, or else you'll really be laughed at then.
