I'm flying British Airlines, and I was wondering if I am able to carry cosmetics on the plane (if so, does this have requirements like must be in suitcase?). My list of cosmetics include:

TruBlend by Covergirl- cover-up (liquid form)
Everyday minerals- cover-up, bronzer, blush (power form)
Neutregena lipgloss- (what form would lipgloss be classified under, lol?)
+one average dinky little lipstick.

Thanks!<3

The amounts allowed in Europe are 100 ml packages in a one Liter re-closeable plastic bag.
(I thing that is a little more than the US amounts, but I am not sure about that.)

Lipgloss and lipstick are counted as liquids.
The liquid cover-up is surely liquid, the powder should be OK outside the plastic bag, but if you have space in it, next to your deo, tooth paste and shampoo and so on, put it in too.

If you have any container that is bigger than 3 oz or 100 ml, put it into your check in.
You can pour a little of it into a small bottle to put into your liquids bag, label it yourself if you think it is needed. (I often re-use tester bottles, shampoo bottle for shampoo.)

I just flew and I was allowed to take liquids under 3oz that fit into a quart size plastic bag. You would need to put the cover up and lipgloss in the bag for sure. The powders should be fine - I had a whole makeup bag full of those. Caveat - this was flying in the US, not international. There may be other rules for international flights. To be truly safe (and not lose your makeup!) check it.

Check the TSA site.

You can have 1 1=quart plastic ziploc bag filled with as many 3oz or less containers as will comfortably fit.

You liquid coverup, lipgloss, and probably the lipstick will have to go in the bag. The powders do not.

The above applies to your carryon. You can carry as much as you like in your checked bags - but put these in plastic bags for your own sanity.

If they are 3 oz or smaller, then it should be ok. You need to put them in a clear, 1 Quart sized Ziploc bag. This web-site has all the information about it: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm

When I flew to Germany, I could bring on mascara, lip gloss, chapstick, things like that. I know some of the other girls with me brought foundation and blush, so you should be ok.

My mother just traveled and was concerned about this issue also.

I think the liquid must be 3 ounces or less.
You must also put it in a plastic see-through bag if your taking it with you on the plane.

Otherwise you could put it in your suit case.

From the Transportation Security Agency ....

With certain exceptions for prescription and over-the-counter medicines, baby formula and breast milk, and other essential liquids, gels, and aerosols, the following rules apply to all liquids, gels, and aerosols you want to carry through a security checkpoint.

All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in three-ounce or smaller containers. Larger containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are not allowed. Each container must be three ounces or smaller.
All liquids, gels and aerosols must be placed in a single, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag. Gallon size bags or bags that are not zip-top such as fold-over sandwich bags are not allowed. Each traveler can use only one, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag.
Each traveler must remove their quart-sized plastic, zip-top bag from their carry-on and place it in a bin or on the conveyor belt for X-ray screening. X-raying separately will allow TSA security officers to more easily examine the declared items.

To ensure the health and welfare of certain air travelers there are no limits on the amounts of the following liquids, gels and aerosols you may carry through a security checkpoint:

Baby formula and breast milk if a baby or small child is traveling;
All prescription and over-the-counter medications (liquids, gels, and aerosols) including KY jelly, eye drops, and saline solution for medical purposes;
Liquids including water, juice, or liquid nutrition or gels for passengers with a disability or medical condition;
Life-support and life-sustaining liquids such as bone marrow, blood products, and transplant organs;
Items used to augment the body for medical or cosmetic reasons such as mastectomy products, prosthetic breasts, bras or shells containing gels, saline solution, or other liquids; and,
Gels or frozen liquids needed to cool disability or medically related items used by persons with disabilities or medical conditions.
You are not limited in the amount or volume of these above items you may bring in your carry-on baggage. However, if these items are in containers larger than three ounces, please perform the following:

Separate these items from the liquids, gels, and aerosols in your quart-size and zip-top bag.
Declare you have the items to one of our Security Officers at the security checkpoint.
Present these items for additional inspection once reaching the X-ray. These items are subject to additional screening.

yes, you can bring all those, but you can only bring up to 3oz of each thing. You can bring the entire thing (more than 3oz) but your going to have to put them in your checked in luggage.
