2 Timothy 4
3. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4. And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Although I can believe a bishop wants us Christians to call GOD "Allah" ... I do not "believe" that he's making any sense.

I can't assume that it would not be blasphemy.

It would be OK with me if, in the after-life, God tells me I was wrong, when I see him face-to-face someday (but I believe that will never happen)!
I suspect that Allah is not God.

I know of a worse case!!!

There is also a minister of a Christian denomination who has become a Muslim.

He's trying to continue as a Christian minister, although a Muslim.

He is trying to ADD Muslim to christian, just as Christianity was added to Judaism in the early church.

A high official of that denomination stupidly said "This is an opportunity for co-operation between Christians and Muslims".

In my humble opinion, this is unacceptable!!!

I wish I remembered which denomination. I only know it's not mine.

FYI dad - The Arabic word for GOD is Allah. Allah is a combination of two Arabic words "Al Elah" or "The God".

So why shouldn't he be able to interchange names if he is refering to the God of the Universe and all in existence.

However, the only problem I would have with this thought, as a Muslim, is if the GOD you refer to here is Jesus Christ, or that Jesus Christ is the "son of GOD". Then I would agree with you and condemn the bishop for doing that!

Yes. The christian and Muslim God are one and the same. The only major difference is that Jesus isn't a demi-god in Islam, he's a Prophet.

I can believe just about any thing that the churches are so rapidly changing to suit the people and not God.
