Ok here's the deal, I'm getting married next year and I'm getting married at a Winery following the reception. Now obviously there will be wine, and champaign. And I'm debating if I should do beer.... What are your thoughts on that.
Another thing, I'm debating if I should have a DJ. U know cause usually christian's don't listen to "worldly Music" Do you guys think it would be ok to have a DJ, and have him play tastefull music, with no sex, drugs, alcohol, etc.
Or does anyone know a good Christian DJ for the California Area?? ♥
Please help me. I feel that it would be ok. I mean It's just music, and little wine...

There is nothing wrong with having a DJ. As far as drinking we never had alcohol at our wedding reception. We did okay. We are to represent the Lord, and that is not representing Him. There is always someone who over drinks that ruins the party. That is not so good. Also the wine in the Bible was weaker than what we drink today. I think it would take 20 glasses to our one glass to have the alcohol. Even over in the Europe countries they they have one cup of wine to two cups of water. They use the wine to purify the water.

Jesus changed water into wine. It even seems that Jesus drank wine on occasion (John 2:1-11; Matthew 26:29). In New Testament times, the water was not very clean. Without modern sanitation efforts, the water was often filled with bacteria, viruses, and all kinds of contaminants. The same is true in many third-world countries today. As a result, people often drank wine (or grape juice) because it was far less likely to be contaminated. In 1 Timothy 5:23, Paul was instructing Timothy to stop drinking the water (which was probably causing his stomach problems) and instead drink wine. In that day, wine was fermented (containing alcohol), but necessarily not to the degree it is today. It is incorrect to say that it was grape juice, but it is also incorrect to say that it was the same thing as the wine commonly used today. Again, Scripture does not necessarily forbid Christians from drinking beer, wine, or any other drink containing alcohol. Alcohol is not, in and of itself, tainted by sin. It is, rather, drunkenness and addiction to alcohol that a Christian must absolutely refrain from (Ephesians 5:18; 1 Corinthians 6:12).

Alcohol is alcohol. If you are having wine then go for the beer.
If you want a dj then have a dj.
Are you a Christian? What kind of music do you want at your reception?
God created marriage between a man and a woman. The woman is to help man and the man is to treat the woman as he would treat himself. The reception is to celebrate the man and the woman becoming one.
So let the guests celebrate your day.

I personally don't think you should have any alcohol at your wedding dear, but that's your own personal conviction. Ask your pastor about the music, he might know of some good quality gospel music. I know of a good CD called "When I Say I love You" by various artists that has beautiful love songs about marriage, you can find it at www.faithmusicmissions.com. Congrats on your upcoming wedding.

Christians don't listen to worldy music because its not of God!
