eye vision?

i have -5.0 in both eyes....and i want to join the navy police force and maybe also the lapd....will my eye vision ruin my dreams? T_T

That doesn't disqualify you from the Navy, In order to be disqualifying your refractive index has to exceed plus or minus 8 diopters. Yours is only minus 5.
Don't know what LAPD's physical standards. But, since a former Army Colonel who was Eisenhower's Provost Marshall in Europe (William Parker) created the modern version of LAPD, I would imagine they would be similar.
