my dog has been 2 the vet and he said it was ahernia but i dont rememer what he said about it..hes had it since he was a puppy and hes 5 now...does it hurt him and can he live wit it..i know it needs surgery buut my mom says she cant afford it. the doc said it would cost like $300-$350

If the vet has examine it and doesn't feel it needs surgery then it is the type of hernia that does not cause pain. It is high up, just below the rib cage, right? Not a problem.

Some hernias will go away on their own (by about six months or so of age), but the ones that don't need surgery. This is something your mom needs to get taken care of...will he take payments? They can be life threatening, so I would figure out a way to have it done. My dog had surgery on his at the same time as his neuter.

Hernias hurt. Talk to your mom about raising some money for the dog's surgery. Do what you can - borrow, wash cars, walk dogs, ask for people's pennies - but get that dog into the vet!

they can lives with it. it might hurt though so be careful with your dog.
