Worked in retail for 6 years.
Show you can use your initiative,
Talk about different seasons (e,g. Summer and Winter clothes),
Good examples of customer service,
How you might deal with a complaint (Be polite and do the best you can, if no joy refer them to your line manager),
Initiate a firm hand shake (It's like cat nip to managers),
Say you are flexible with hours,
Look smart (obviously, but most people don't),
If its a group interview they will prob do a game,or something to 'relax' all of you,
Smile and speak clearly,
Make them aware you know you will work towards targets (budgets),
Hope that helps
Good look

I have never been interviewed by H&M but I worked a long time as a recruitment consultant and saw a lot of interviews in my time - I'd suggest brushing up on the competition (what other clothes shops are there in the area & why is H&M different), H&M's style - anything in the news... didn't Madonna do an advertising campaign for them recently - and I remember Kate Moss doing something there too. You don't mention what job you are going for - if it's managerial there will be other things. (They are almost certainly going to ask you what you know about the company, so memorise a few facts & stats from the website -not hard).
Just a general awareness of the company, the shop you will be working in, and get examples ready of things you did in your other work or personal life where you demonstrated good customer service etc/sales techniques. Also of course tell them you love their style!
Good luck!! :)

A person that thinks they know how to interview...heads up, do not talk more then needed, only answer the questions they ask. Look up the company on line and read about them, check out their growth progress and make a comment that you want to join a fast pace company, ask what is a typical day at your job, what happen to the last person in that position, fired,,,why? Sit up look smart and pay attention. Good Luck...

The basic interviewing procedure involves questions, sometimes involving your background: education, have you been convicted of any crime(s), previous work experience, reasons for leaving previous job, etc.
Occasionally, they will ask about your hobbies/interests.
The interviewer may give you a brief talk on the goals of H&M (ie. "To fulfill our customers requests", etc.)
If they are very interested in you and/or are desperate to hire, then they might walk you through the store and the procedures involved.
My friend worked at H&M and told me that they are very open to a variety of people because they aim to satisfy an array of fashions. :)
Good luck.
