To me it would be the fall of mankind through sin and the opportunity for redemption through the death and resurrection of Christ.

The Central teaching of Chritianity (Catholicism, Orthodox, Main line Protestant Churches) is that Jesus is the incarnate Word of God- The Word of God who was made flesh through the Virgin Mary. He came sufferred, died and was burried. He RESSURECTED on the third day and went up to heaven and sets at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead. These are some of the central teachings of Christianity.

Christianity's root word is Christ which is Greek for Messiah or Saviour. The central doctrine or teaching of Christianity is that God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to be the redeemer of our sins. He paid for the sins of all of us by dying on the cross, so that we would be forgiven by believing in him and his sacrifice for us. His resurrection is the promise that all who believe in him would be resurrected to be with him in the end (the end of the world) in heaven.

Faith and Belief in Jesus Christ is the central doctrine of Christianity.
It's simple: You believe because you recognize the emptiness or grotesqueness of your life because of sin, So then you ask God to come into your life and help straighten you out..."All who call on the name of the Lord Shall BE Saved" Bible/ Book of Joel.
The crucified Christ is the Bridge from God to Man...The Trinity is the Oneness of God, but in many aspects. God is the Father God is savior (SON), God is Spirit. God is many things though God is Omniscient(God knows all), God is Omnipotent (God is all powerful) , God is Just, God is Truth, God is Kind and Merciful Basically, God IS or in His words" I AM "

The resurrection.
In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul explains in detail the importance of the resurrection of Christ. Some in Corinth did not believe in the resurrection of the dead, and in this chapter Paul gives six disastrous consequences if there were no resurrection: 1) preaching Christ would be senseless (v. 14); 2) faith in Christ would be useless (v. 14); 3) all the witnesses and preachers of the resurrection would be liars (v. 15); 4) no one would be redeemed from sin (v. 17); 5) all former believers would have perished (v.18); and 6) Christians would be the most pitiable people on the earth (v. 19). But Christ indeed has risen from the dead and “has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen sleep” (v. 20), assuring that we will follow Him in resurrection.
The inspired Word of God guarantees the believer's resurrection at the coming of Jesus Christ for His Body (the Church) at the Rapture. Such hope and assurance issues in a great song of triumph as Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 15:55, "O death, where is thy sting? O grave where is thy victory?" How do these concluding verses relate to the importance of the Resurrection? Paul answers, "...you know that your labor is not in vain" (v. 58). He reminds us that because we know we will be resurrected to new life, we can suffer persecution and danger for Christ’s sake (vv. 29-31), just as He did, and just as the thousands of martyrs through history who gladly traded their earthly lives for everlasting life via the resurrection.
The Resurrection is the triumphant and glorious victory for every believer in Jesus Christ who died, was buried, and rose the third day according to the Scripture. And, He is coming again! The dead in Christ will be raised up, and those who remain and are alive at His coming will be changed and receive new, glorified bodies (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). Why is the resurrection of Jesus Christ important? It demonstrated that God accepted Jesus’ sacrifice on our behalf. It proves that God has the power to raise us from the dead. It guarantees that those who believe in Christ will not remain dead, but will be resurrected unto eternal life. That is our blessed hope!

I want to attempt this question. The central doctrine of christianity is Jesus Christ. The problem becomes finding the true doctrine of Jesus Christ. The Bible has been interpreted in so many ways that there exist over a thousand different denominations of christianity that claim to "take us to Christ". In fact I have heard it said that if you can't find a christian faith that agrees with your thought you can start your own.
All of the prophets of the Old Testament foretold of the coming of Jesus Christ, it was there overriding theme.
During the time of Christ and His apostles people went straight to them for answers.
Wouldn't it be great if we could go to a living prophet for our answers?
We can and this is what he has to say:
1. We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in his son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
2.We believe that men will punished for their own sins and not for Adam's transgressions.
3. We believe that through the atonement of Christ all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
4. We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; forth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
There are two forms of death. Physical death which occurs when the spirit is separated from the physical body. This death was brought on all mankind by Adam's transgression and fall to a physical mortality in the garden of Eden. I think is is a proven fact that all humans must die. This physical death was over come by Christ's ressurection from the grave. Because of his death and ressurection all mankind has a freepass to ressurection. The reuniting of the spirit with the body.
The second death is a spiritual death. This death a occurs when the spirit and body, after the ressurection, are cut off from the presence of God and Christ. This is sometimes refeted to as the second death. This death is brought on by sin. Sin is very simply disobedience to God's law.The Atonement which is the process where Christ. suffered and took upon himself all the sins, sorrows, and suffering of all mankind. Because of the atonement Christ has the power to forgive sin and wash us clean so we can return to the presence of God.
So the good news or "gospel" is that Christ lives and has conquered death.
May I suggest you read the Book of Mormon for the teachings Christ gave through his prophets to the ancient peoples of the Americas.

The central doctrine of Christianity is the testimony of the Prophets and Apostles concerning Jesus Christ, that He died, was buried, and was raised on the third day, and all other things pertaining to our religion are only appendages to it. In other words, the Atonement is the central doctrine.

Jesus, who is God in the flesh (which supports the trinity), came to this earth, lived a sinless life, died a vicious death, which made atonement for our sins, rose in three days, and ascended to His throne in Heaven, and will come back again, to retrieve His people.
