I recently had an interview at Kohls and the interview lasted about 5 minutes. They asked the basic questions, like about experience working with the public. They also wanted to know about a time that I encountered a challenge while working on a team, and wanted to know how I took initiative to resolve the situation.

Just maintain eye contact, sit up straight, and don't stutter. The interview is pretty quick and painless.

Hey first of all good luck sweetie! I worked at Kohls and here's what you can expect. My interview was done with 5 other people and a manager. We were all in a little room in the back of the store and the manager explained the store to us. We filled out paperwork and it wasn't like a one on one interview. They're not going to ask what your goals and dreams are. The fact that you're there is thrilling enough for them - because they need you. Remember that you are valuable.

The actual cool thing about going through the interview process with others was that although it was strange, we kinda "bonded" and were like "buddies" while we all worked there. Even though we were in different depts. I liked that because you didn't walk in on your first day and feel like a stranger - you had buddies there. I worked at the jewelry counter and it was not easy. But I loved the store and had a great time there over Christmas.

The "interview" was about... I don't remember, but schedule about 2 hours. I think they show videos and stuff.

Good luck!

I've never interviewed for Kohl's but I've worked for other retail places. They'll probably ask you standard questions like these:

* Why do you want to work here at Kohl's?
* What's your biggest strength? (Say something like attention to detail).
* What's you're biggest weakness? (make sure it's something that can easily be turned into a positive like...being a perfectionist).
* Do you have any prior retail experience?
* What would you do if you got an angry customer?

It'll be really easy stuff, I'm sure. Congrats on the interview and good luck. Don't sweat it! It'll be over before you know it.

Dress appropriately, firm hand shake, speak to the speaker, make eye contact, be warm, know the position for which you are applying, know something about Kohl's, ask a few relevant questions, arrive a few minutes early, address the interviewer by name, all obvious stuff. When you get home, send thank you note to the interviewer reminding him/her of a strength of yours which you mentioned in the interview. Always approach interviews from the viewpoint of ask not what the company can do for you...ask what you can do for the company (Kohl's.) Good luck.

They're probably gonna ask you Why do you want the job, or why do you think you are a good candidate for it, and will ask you "what would you do if..." situation questions, i dont know how long it depends. Just prepare yourself and be confident, use eye contact and smile hope this helps. They will probably ask you have you worked at any other places similar to Kohls.
