I don't think they are allowed to sell the toys that are recalled. I know the store here, once in awhile marks down a lot of toys trying to get rid of them for they can bring in the new toys for Christmas. After we heard about the recall, I went and looked at my sons toys, I could not find one that did not say made in china and he has none of the ones that were recalled.

All the toys that were recalled were pulled from the stores' shelves and cannot be sold anywhere. But if it makes you feel better get the little girl one of those nice soft dolls or a tea set or a movie/ dvd of a favorite show. Hope this helps!

Wal mart like every store that has the re called toys are legally bound to take them off the shelves.. If they are not then they will get in a lot of trouble.
i think the toys they have marked down are not the re called toys and that they are trying to get people to buy toys from the same country. ..
You can check on line and see which toys are being re called and match them with the ones in the stores..

most things are made in china. if you are worried about recalled toys, you can look them up on the internet, or when you go into walmart, check at the service desk. by law, they have to post recalled toys that they have sold in thier stores. they are probally just trying to get rid of alot of things to make room for the new back to school and christmas stuff

I think anything recalled would be removed from the shelves. And the other items are probably marked down because everyone is afraid of them and they are not selling well.
I would probably look up something specific you're interested in and see if it's been recalled.
oh... and I think most 1-year olds love bubbles! A small container of bubbles and some bubble wands are very inexpensive!

i think whatever you think would be fine. i dont think walmart would sell recalled toys. they can get into big trouble doing that and i dont think they would want to go out of business.
