Hello there!
To fasten, just lift both ends of the buckle and insert together, pulling on the loose strap to tighten.
To release, just pull on the seat belt tab (metal/plastic) and pull it up and realease both ends until you are free.
If you still have questions, ask your flight attendant tomorrow.

You need to bring along an extremely sharp knife and cut through the fabric part of the seat belt... If all else fails, use your teeth... and as a last resort, you could follow the directions in the saftey brochure in the seat pocket in front of you...
