I want to make a nice dinner to surprise my boyfriend with tonight. I am a pretty good cook, so I can make most things. Also, he is totally not a picky eater, so pretty much everything is open. Thanks in advance!

How about a homemade alfredo with sauteed baby bella mushrooms and garlic, over linguini, with fresh grated cheese and chopped parsely? And crusy bread with a dipping sauce, and a green salad with balsamic vinaigrette and feta?

I love meatloaf with spaghetti sauce (I make my own sauce but bottled sauce is ok too , Newmans own is good)
1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 lb ground italian sausage (i use the spicy kind)
1 egg
1 onion
breadcrumbs
handful quaker old fashioned oats (or just breadcrumbs)
whatever spices you like, doesn't need much
1/2 bottle spaghetti sauce (not till it's red, save some for top)
Cheddar cheese (for top)

Mix everything except cheese and some of your sauce in a bowl, add breadcrumbs/and or oatmeal until kind of loafy.
Preheat oven to 350, put the mix into a breadpan. Flatten, then leave some room on each side, to drain any grease.
Place a meat thermometer in largest part, cook till 160-170 degrees i think, whatever meat temp is. 10 minutes before done, add cheese, and top with sauce, and cook for 10 minutes. Yummmmy guys love it and it's super filling.
